Oswego will be celebrating 100th birthday of Ludwig Bemelman, author of the Madeline children’s books. Bemelman was stationed here at Fort Ontario during WWI. The AAO will have a variety of artwork in the style of Bemelman on display and will be cooperating with several other Oswego organizations and businesses..
This celebration will include an art show with an opening reception (date and time TBD). It is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served. AAO will be open on Saturday 10 am to 4 pm.
The Art Association of Oswego is located in Fort Ontario Park at the northernmost end of East 4th Street in Oswego. Regular gallery hours are from 10 am to 1 pm on Saturdays and from 1 pm to 4 pm on Sundays. This exhibition will run until Sunday October 16th.
