Fairytale Sculpture (Oct ’19)

This ceramics class is for people who are not afraid to explore their imaginations! Let’s build a fairy house, a dragon, unicorns, mermaids, and more! Students will make fairytale-themed sculptures using basic sculpting techniques such as coil building, slab building, solid construction and more. The instructor will work with each student independently so that they can make a project of their own design.

This 6-week class meets Tuesday evenings, 6-9:00 PM, on Oct. 1, 8, and 29, and Nov. 5, 12, and 19.
(No class on Oct 15 or 22)

• Age and/or skill level: Adults (ages 16+), Intermediate skill: must have some prior hand-building experience
• Location: AAO – Fort Ontario Complex (north end of E 4th St), Oswego.

• Cost: Instructional fee: $168 for AAO members or $225 for non-members. All tools and materials included in the price.

• Instructor: Rebecca Chatterton, Rebecca graduated from SUNY Fredonia in 2015 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a concentration in ceramics. She has also taught dozens of art classes through the AAO, and she has worked with people of all ages and all different levels of experience in ceramics.

Pre-registration & pre-payment are required. We cannot hold a class at these costs unless we have a minimum of 4 students. Please register using the form below. You will have the option to pay immediately directly from the registration form using PayPal, or pay later using a check or money order. If the class is cancelled by the AAO, or if you cancel at least 7 days prior to the first class, your entire payment will be returned. Payments are otherwise non-refundable.

NOTES:

1. You won’t be able to get back into the registration form later to pay electronically.
2. You can use PayPal as a guest without signing up for an account.

Checks or Money Orders should arrive at least 7 days before the start of class. If there are fewer than 7 days before class starts and you want to pay by check, you need to contact us first. Checks should be made out to “AAO” and mailed to us at: PO Box 271, Oswego NY 13126. Please note the class name & participant name on the memo line of your check.
