Monotype/Monoprint (Half) Marathon 2020

Saturday, November 7 at the Art Association of Oswego from Noon to Midnight.

This event is free, however monetary donations will be gratefully accepted to help cover the cost of paper and supplies. Donations of prints are also welcomed. No experience is necessary. There will be volunteers to help and explain.

Masks must be worn at all times. A number of socially-distanced stations will be set up on both floors of the Art Center for small-scale printmaking.

Stations will include some or all of the following:

  1. Screen monotype (screen-printed with water-based ink)
  2. Plate monotype (press-printed from zinc or acrylic with oil-based ink)
  3. Trace monotype (hand-printed with oil-based ink)
  4. Collagraph monoprint #1 (handprinted with water-based ink from tape plates)
  5. Collagraph monoprint #2 (handprinted with water-based ink from glue plates)
  6. Collagraph monoprint #3 (handprinted with water-based ink from paper plates)
  7. Relief monoprint #1 (press-printed with oil-based ink from cut linoleum)
  8. Relief monoprint #2 (hand-printed with oil-based ink from indented wood)
