Ceramics – Beginner Hand-building w/ Rebecca Chatterton (Feb 2020)

Beginning techniques and information will be taught with demonstrations of hand building. Participants can expect to make 2 medium sized projects or one larger sized project. The theme of this class is vessels. You will have the opportunity to learn how to make coil-built or slab-built vessels such as cups, mugs, bowls, vases, etc.

• • Time/Dates: Thursdays, from February 13th to March 19th from 6-9PM.
  • Class Size Limit: 10
  • Cost: $133 for AAO members, $190 for non-members. You may become a member to qualify for the lower rate. Click HERE for more info.
    An additional $35 fee for supplies must be paid on the first evening of class (cash or check payable to AAO): $15 for equipment and glaze usage, plus $20 for 25 lbs. of clay. If you already have clay of your own, you do not have to pay the clay fee.
  • Instructor: Rebecca Chatterton will be the instructor for this class. Rebecca holds a BFA degree in ceramics from SUNY Fredonia. She has taught many hand building and sculpture classes for all ages here at the AAO.
