CLASS: Watercolor Painting Techniques – Birch Trees

This class is designed for individuals that have never painted, done a little, or done some but could use some guidance. The overall theme of the class is to have fun and be creative.  Watercolor paints, brushes, related resources and techniques will help you create a unique Birch Trees painting.

No drawing experience or artistic skill required. Through demonstrations and individual, hands-on help, you will learn some basic watercolor techniques. The class will work on one small and one medium size painting that will guide you through the steps to complete the finished Birch Trees paintings.

• Age and/or skill level: adult (16+) beginner to intermediate.

• Time(s): 6-9:00 PM
• Location: AAO – Fort Ontario Complex (north end of E 4th St), Oswego.
• Cost: $18 for AAO Members; $24 for non-members
• Materials:  Participants will bring their own supplies to class – 2 sheets watercolor paper 9 x11 or larger, thin painting board 10 x 12 or larger, watercolor paints, brushes, palette, and blue painters tape.  Or, supplies and related resources are available from the instructor for $7.00
• Instructor: Robert Jones is a retired technology education teacher from the Hannibal School District who took up watercolor painting three years ago and is eager to share his experiences and lessons with beginning artists.
