Instructor: Shelly Lewis Jones

Explore the art and science of glazing in this hands-on pottery class on May 20th from 5:00–7:00 PM. Perfect for beginners to intermediate potters, this session will focus on understanding the properties of glazes, how they interact with clay bodies, and the differences between various glaze types.

Students will learn practical application techniques, including layering, brushing, and dipping, while also experimenting with decorative styles such as the beautiful peacock design. Potters are welcome to bring 1-2 of their own bisque-fired pieces to glaze. A selection of small bisque-fired items will also be available for those who would like to practice or do not have their own work.
